Lee Gordon Cannon

Lee “Leebo” Gordon Cannon, resident of Coatesville, Pennsylvania and former resident of Williston Community died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his residence. He was 30 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Cannon were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, September 19th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel at Somerville. The officiating ministers were Bro. Bobby Williams of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church of Moscow and Dr. Kenneth Culver of Warren Community Church at Somerville. Interment followed in the Perry Cemetery at Laconia. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Cannon was born in Somerville on February 3, 1980 the son of the former Mary Esther Barkley and the late Earl “Red Baby” Cannon, Jr. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a resident of Fayette County before moving to Pennsylvania five years ago. Mr. Cannon was of the Baptist Faith and was employed in janitorial and construction industries before his illness.
An avid Miami Dolphins Fan, he will be remembered for his love of drag racing, wrestling, automobiles and mechanical repairs.
Mr. Cannon is survived by his mother, Mary Esther Cannon Dittfurth and husband James Thomas Dittfurth of Somerville, his brothers, Wesley Cannon (Christi) of Collierville and Justin Cannon (Cherrish) of Somerville, his grandmother, Vodie Cannon of Williston, his aunts, Ollie Mae York of Somerville, Audrey McQueen of Williston, Sheila Eddington of Williston and Pam Cannon of Williston, his uncle, Aubrey Cannon of Haywood County, his beloved nieces, Shelby, Ali, Tori, Aydyn, Reece and Codi. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl “Red Baby” Cannon, his paternal grandfather, Earl Cannon and his maternal grandparents, Len and Ruth Barkley.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Buck Culver, Tommy Freeman, Andy Hughes, James Huff, Steve Lipford, Jr., Jonathan Snider, Cole Spicer and Charlie Thompson.
