Lee Tillman Hively

Lee Tillman Hively, age 94, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and husband of the late Sarah Arbogast Hively, departed this life Friday morning, February 2, 2024.

Lee was born February 9, 1929 in Dunmore, West Virginia, the son of the late Walter Hively and Sarah Simmons Hively. He was married in 1950 to Sarah Arbogast Hively and was employed as a contract salesman for many years before his retirement. Mr. Hively lived in Elkins, West Virginia for 27 years and Knoxville, Tennessee for 25 years before moving to Oakland. He was a member of West Hills Presbyterian Church in Knoxville and enjoyed painting by numbers.

Mr. Hively is survived by his daughter, Katherine Ferguson (Berlin); his sister, Margaret Sedgewick; three grandchildren, Tyler Ferguson (Melissa), Nathan Ferguson and Adam Ferguson; and three great-grandchildren, Conner Ferguson, Spencer Ferguson and Natalie Ferguson.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Hively and eleven brothers and sisters.
