Lillian "Bo" Pinkney Hyatt Ourfalian, age 71, resident of Oakland, departed this life Thursday evening, June 4, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Ms. Ourfalian were conducted at 5 P.M. Tuesday, June 9th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Brent Wells, pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church in Oakland, officiating. Special music was provided by Carolyn Long, soloist. A Private Interment will be in Waynesville, North Carolina. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.
Ms. Ourfalian was born March 25, 1944 in Hamlett, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Jones Hyatt and Mary Elizabeth Bass Hyatt. She received her education in the Montreat College in Black Mountain, North Carolina and the Palmer School of Business in Charleston, South Carolina. She was employed with various secretarial jobs in New York and Florida before being at home to raise her children. She was of the Reformed Baptist faith and enjoyed preparing food and special times with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Ms. Ourfalian is survived by three daughters, Sonia Cushman (Michael) of Oakland, Susan Stewart (Lee) of Olive Branch, MS, Sandra Tushek (Michael) of Oakland; two sisters, Emily Weaver (Tom) of Corpus Christi, TX, Beth Wyatt (Salem) of Clyde, NC; and four grandchildren.
