Lillian Sue Catron Williams, age 71, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of Harold Williams of Somerville departed this life Saturday morning, June 6, 2015 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Williams were conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, June 10th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Burke Howcroft, pastor of the Lambert Community Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born January 21, 1944 in Somerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Catron and Elizabeth Crawford Catron. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was married in 1965 to Harold "Doug" Williams, who survives. She was employed as a caregiver at the Arlington Developmental Center for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Williams was a resident of the Somerville Community and a member of the Somerville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed special times with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters, Susan Williams of Culleoka, TN, Jennifer Cavnor (Chris) of Memphis; her son, Lewis Williams (Kristin) of Nashville; her sister, Betty Jean Parks (Wesley) of Somerville; and seven grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Lee Catron.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Bruce Crowder, Chris Cavnor, Johnnie Pattat, Wesley Parks, Jr., Adam Kittrill and Shawn Chapman.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Somerville First Baptist Church, 12685 S. Main Street, Somerville, TN 38068.
