Linda Darlene Wooten

Linda Darlene Wooten, a young 76 years, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and wife of Andy, took hold of the hand of Jesus, who took her home to Heaven to live with Him in Glory forever with a new mind and a new body Friday July 19, 2024.

She was "Nene" to her grandchildren, "Mom" to her daughter, and Andy's dear "LndyLou".

Born in Detroit in September 1947, she grew up there and in Rector, Arkansas. After high school, she moved to Memphis to go to school and work. It was at work that a baby-faced youngster walked in the door for an interview. Andy and Linda worked together a few years as a love-bond formed and grew. That love for each other went "18 years" before he could convince her to say "YES! I'll marry you". They got married in 2000 as Linda said "that way, you'll always know how many years we've been married". With a wedding in September, she became his "LndyLou".

She was preceded in death by her mother, Necie Covert; her father, Floyd Covert; her brother, Verlin "Gene" Covert; and her son, Kevin Fahr.

Linda is survived by her husband of almost 24 years, Andy Wooten. She also leaves behind her daughter, Kim Bryant (Mike); two granddaughters, Megan (Mego) Bryant and Brianna (Bri) Bryant; her sister-in-law, Margaret Covert; her stepfather, Duane "Du" Garrett; and many nieces, nephews, kissing cousins and friends.

A visitation for Mrs. Wooten will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral Services will be at 1 P.M. Saturday, July 27, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will be private.

The family requests that memorials can be either flowers or a donation to the charity of their choosing.
