Lisa Keeling Fuller, resident of the Elba Community in Fayette County and daughter of Tom and Joy Keeling, departed this life Monday evening, May 5, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital in Memphis where she had been a patient for two days. She was 51 years of age and died following an illness of several years.
Services of Remembrance for Ms. Fuller were conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, May 8th at the Fisherville First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Moore, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment followed in the Fisherville Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Ms. Fuller was born December 17, 1962 in Memphis, the daughter of Thomas Ray “Tom” Keeling and Joy Tillman Keeling. She received her education in the Shelby County Public School System and was a graduate of Germantown High School, class of 1982. Ms. Fuller was a former resident of Alabama before returning to West Tennessee in 1990. She was a homemaker throughout much of her life and had been a resident of the Elba Community in Fayette County since 1995.
Ms. Fuller was a member of the Fisherville First Baptist Church and had a lifelong love for children and young people. In earlier years, Ms. Fuller was involved in childcare as long as health permitted. She was an avid lover of all animals and enjoyed numerous crafts. During her lengthy illness, she served as an inspiration to her family and friends and was blessed to have the love and support of her family and many church friends.
Ms. Fuller is survived by her son, Johnathan Fuller (Jessie) of Hartselle, Alabama; her parents, Thomas Ray “Tom” Keeling and Joy Tillman Keeling of Elba Community; her brother, Steve Keeling (Amanda) of Cordova; two grandchildren, Kenny Fuller, Lily Fuller; and uncles, aunts, cousins and nephews who loved her dearly.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Billy Ray Mynatt, Keith Allen, Ken Daniel, Guy Thomason, David Garner and John Bills.
Honorary casketbearers were Johnie Mynatt, Cronin Lovett, Doug Gordon, Bob Perkins and Bill Sayle.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fisherville First Baptist Church, 11893 Macon Road, Eads, TN 38028.
