Lisa Annette Wolfe Golightly, age 62, resident of Arlington, Tennessee and wife of the late John Wayne Golightly, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, July 16, 2024 at her home.
Lisa was born April 4, 1962 in Shelby County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Artman Wolfe and Ellen Artelia Williams Wolfe. She graduated from Shelby State Community College in Memphis in 1984 and continued her education at Memphis State University. Lisa was employed as a mail clerk for the U.S. Navy for many years before her retirement.
Lisa was married September 30, 1991 to John Wayne Golightly who preceded her in death on December 4, 2016. She was a member of Bolton United Methodist Church in Arlington and enjoyed swimming, waterskiing, reading, fishing and cooking. She looked forward to family reunions to be reunited with her cousins that included Buddy, Richard, Edwin, Nancy, Sherryn Kay, Betty Carol, Anne, Glenda, Steve, Debbie, Randy, Zeri and Carol.
Mrs. Golightly is survived by two sons, John W. Golightly, Jr. of Arlington, TN and Jason W. Golightly of Princeton, KY; her sister, Bettye W. Cass of Barefoot Bay, FL; and her grandson who was her life, John W. Golightly III (known as Little Wayne) of Arlington, TN.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Golightly were held at 1 P.M. Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Ryan Pattat, pastor of Shiloh Methodist Community Church near Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in Mudville Cemetery at Rosemark.
