Carmon Lloyd Gallimore, age 68, resident of Cordova and husband of Jeanne Mary Edick Gallimore, departed this life Tuesday evening, February 14, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Gallimore were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Jeremy Arnold of Henderson, Tennessee, officiating. Interment with Military Honors followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Gallimore was born June 25, 1948 in Bruceville, Tennessee. He received his education at Lakeview High School and served his country in the United States Navy. He was married April 23, 1982 to the former Jeanne Mary Edick and he was employed as an electrician for many years before his retirement. Mr. Gallimore was a former resident of Oakland before moving to Cordova and he enjoyed outdoor activities that included barbecuing, golfing, hunting and swimming. He loved watching old westerns and war movies and his family states he was great at trivia.
Mr. Gallimore is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jeanne Mary Edick Gallimore of Cordova, TN; his daughter, Jessica Gallimore Gooch of Bartlett, TN; three sons, Christopher L. Gallimore (fiancée, Katie) of Pennsylvania, Michael Gallimore (Latasha) of Virginia, Brian Hemmingway (Alyssa) of Maine; his sister, Ginger Welling (Richard); his stepsister, Linda Pearson; his stepbrother, Larry Moore; three half-brothers, Rick Gallimore, Kenny Gallimore, Scott Gallimore (Robyn); five grandchildren, Jesse Hearn, Samantha Hearn, Austin Gooch, Asia Tang, Joseph Long; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmon Finch Gallimore and Frances Davis Crawford; his son, Mathew James Gallimore; his sister, JoAnn Dixon (Dan); his son-in-law, Matthew Gooch, his granddaughter, Iesha Tang and his half-brother Jerry Wayne Moore.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Michael Gallimore, Brian Hemingway, Thad Massura, Chris Gallimore, Jessica Gooch and Katie Sarazine.
