Lois Stewart Cooper, (Mama C), age 88, resident of Lakeland, Tennessee, passed away Friday afternoon, January 15, 2021 at her home.
Lois was born March 28, 1932 in Finger, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Ester Stewart and Reenie Plunk Stewart. She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Messick High School. She was employed with the Board of Education for 25 years before her retirement, was a member of Raleigh United Methodist Church and most recently a member of Rossville United Methodist Church. Lois enjoyed quilting, collecting antiques, reading, humming, telling stories and special times with her family.
Ms. Cooper is survived by two sons, Jeff Cooper (Janet), Leslie Cooper (Pam); her daughter, Amy Replogle (Bryan); seven grandchildren, Dennis Cooper (Jennifer), Heather Scobey (Richard), Cory Cooper (Amanda), Melissa Lewis (Bart), Emily Wiesner (Jock) and Samantha Dagastino (Kevin); and fifteen great-grandchildren, Dalton, Reagen, Isabelle, Lyla, Wyatt, Jackson, Brennan, Cameron, Ansley, Hudson, Ella Kate, Addison, George, True and Hayes.
Memorial Services for Ms. Cooper will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Rossville United Methodist Church located at 56 Main Street, Rossville, Tennessee 38066.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may go to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
