Lois Marie McClure, age 71, resident of Moscow, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday afternoon, July 26, 2018.
Funeral Services for Ms. McClure were held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Moscow with Bro. David Parlow, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.
Ms. McClure was born September 29, 1946 in Falkner, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Oliver T. Graves and Mavis Jackson Graves. She received her education in the Tippah County, Mississippi School System and was a residence of the Moscow area for many years. She was a volunteer at the Food Bank and served as a caregiver to many of her neighbors throughout her life. Ms. McClure was a devoted Christian who read her Bible daily and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Moscow. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, rescuing stray cats and special times with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Ms. McClure is survived by her daughter, Connie Stegall (Daniel) of Clinton, MS; two sons, Tony McClure (Pamela) of Southaven, MS, Danny Glen McClure of Ashland, MS; and five grandchildren, Eric James McClure, Parker Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Mason McClure and Chris Hobbs (Katie).
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Parker Jackson, Thomas Jackson, Eric McClure, Chris Hobbs, Benny James and Daniel Stegall. Honorary pallbearers will be John Crisp, David Morrison and Mason McClure.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066 or to your local Humane Society.
