Lon Benton "Benny" Byrum, III

Lon Benton “Benny” Byrum, III, age 47, resident of the Oakland Community and husband of Carmen Byrum, departed this life Saturday morning, July 25, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Byrum was born February 7, 1968 in Somerville, the son of Linda Shubert Byrum and the late Lon Benton Byrum, Jr. He was a graduate of Kingsbury High School in Memphis and was married August 2, 1997 to the former Carmen Marie Motz, who survives. Mr. Byrum was a resident of the Oakland Community and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and playing pool.
In addition to his wife of 18 years, Mr. Byrum is survived by his son, Dalton Tyler Byrum of Sherwood, Arkansas; his mother, Linda Byrum of Whiteville; his grandmother, Louise Byrum of Mississippi; and two brothers, Jerry Byrum of Bartlett and Timothy Byrum of Whiteville.
