Louis Wayne Lowrey, 91, resident of the Moscow Community, former resident of Memphis, retired Executive for Dyke Industries in Little Rock, AR and husband of the late Dorothy Patty Lowrey departed this life September 13, 2011 at National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Services of Remembrance with Military Honors for Mr. Lowrey will be at 2 P.M. Saturday at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be from 12 noon to 2 P.M. Saturday at Peebles.

A native of Tina, MO, Mr. Lowrey was born September 9, 1920 to the late Benjamin Oliver “Ben” Lowrey and Edith Green Lowrey. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was employed in the Millwork Industry for much of his life before his retirement.

He had been a resident of the Moscow Community for the past 35 years and was a member of the Moscow United Methodist Church. He will be remembered for his love of nature, golfing, reading and politics.

Mr. Lowrey is survived by his daughter, Janice Lowrey Brien of Moscow, his son, Jim Lowrey of Grand Junction, TN, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Lowrey Whitton.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 44, Rossville, TN 38066.
