Lucille (Tapp) Pattat

Lucille Tapp Pattat, age 92, resident of Somerville and wife of Harold S. Pattat, Sr., departed this life Wednesday evening, August 8, 2018 at the National HealthCare Center in Somerville.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Pattat were conducted at 12 Noon Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. The officiating ministers were Rev. Mike Pilcher and Rev. H.B. Fields. Interment followed in the Hebron Cemetery in the Yum Yum Community of Fayette County. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Pattat was born October 6, 1925 in Somerville, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Fayette County High School Class of 1943 and also attended Memphis State University. She was employed as an office manager for Firestone Tire & Rubber Company for over 30 years before her retirement. Mrs. Pattat was married November 8, 1991 to Harold S. Pattat, Sr. and was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church. She loved outdoor activities that included fishing, traveling and gardening.

Mrs. Pattat is survived by her husband, Harold S. Pattat, Sr. of Somerville, TN; two stepsons, Harold S. Pattat, Jr. (Kay) of Somerville, TN, Rod Pattat of Somerville, TN; her sister, Olivia Hathaway (Carmen) of Bartlett, TN; her brother, Robert H. Tapp (Magadaline) of Somerville, TN; four grandchildren, Carrie Pattat Furman (Rob), John M. Pattat (Anne Marie), Katie Ortkiese (Clark), Brent Pattat (Amy); and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Nimrod Tapp and Zera Lucille Holt Tapp; three sisters, Virginia Morris, Elizabeth Scott, Mabel Pattat; and five brothers, Howell Tapp, Fred Tapp, Franklin Tapp, Richard Tapp and Bobby Tapp.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Pattat's caregivers, Thelma Pulliam, Janet Farris, Regina Hill, Dot Henley, Lucille Perry, Rachel Wilkerson, Ruth Morrow and Ellen Jones.

Those honors to serve as pallbearers were Barry Tapp, Holy Tapp, Joseph Tapp, Raymond Tapp, James Edwin Morris and Thomas Tapp.
