Lucinda Faye "Cindy" Rockwell Hicks, age 68, resident of Memphis and wife of Sammy Hicks, departed this life Friday morning, April 28, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Mrs. Hicks was born July 7, 1948 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of the late Charles Rockwell and the late Alice Corwin Rockwell. She moved to Texas at an early age and received her education in Amarillo, Texas. She was married December 20, 1970 to Sammy Hicks and was most recently a resident of the Memphis area. Mrs. Hicks enjoyed birdwatching, going on walks, playing with her cat, watching television and special times with her family. She will be remembered for being a great cook.
Mrs. Hicks is survived by her husband, Sammy Hicks of Memphis, TN; her daughter, DeDe Hicks of Memphis, TN; two sons, Charles Hicks of Henning, TN, Danny Hicks (Cassandra) of Sikeston, MO; two sisters, one brother; and five grandchildren, Dylan Hicks, Daniel Hicks, DJ Hicks, Desiree Hicks and Destiny Hicks.
