Lula May Bryan Nicholson, age 91, resident of Arlington, Tennessee and wife of the late George Nicholson, departed this life Monday morning, November 20, 2023 at her home.
May was born September 6, 1932 in Shelby County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Elmo E. Bryan and Ruth Rutledge Bryan. She graduated from Germantown High School and was married June 26, 1949 to George Nicholson who preceded her in death. Mrs. Nicholson was a resident of Fayette County since 1971 and was a homemaker throughout her life. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Eads, Tennessee and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Mrs. Nicholson is survived by two sons, George “Nick” Nicholson III (Sheila) and David Bryan Nicholson (Dean); her sister, Grace Baker (Jerry); six grandchildren, Kelly Stockdale (Jason), Lindsay Hintz, Melanie Corrigan (Jimmy), Deana Rheliff, Davy Nicholson (Cassie) and Matt Grace (Emily); and thirteen great-grandchildren, Emma, Lila, Ava, Cody, Charliegh, Hadley, Able, Autumn, Asher, Isabella, Skylar, Bradon and Julianna.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian A. Bryan and Mary “Bill” Bryan Price; and her brother, John A. Bryan.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Nicholson were held at 1 P.M. Monday, November 27, 2023 at Bethany Cemetery in Eads with Bro. Ron Collins officiating.
