Mamie Sue (Seward) Bishop

Mamie Sue Seward Bishop, age 84, resident of Middleton, Tennessee and wife of the late Julius Theo Bishop, departed this life Monday morning, June 20, 2022 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Sue was born May 14, 1938 in Somerville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Stanley Seward and Murriel Alberta Cooper Seward. She was a devout Christian who was very devoted to church. Sue was employed as an administrative assistant for several churches before her retirement. She was always willing to help others and loved taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard and flower beds. She was a talented artist and enjoyed oil painting.

Known to her family as “Granny” and “Mama Sue”, she is survived by her daughter, Cindy Stafford; two sons, Stan Forester and Greg Bishop. She also leaves behind Tyler Forrester, a grandson who lived with her, six other special grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a special niece, Cheryl Citrone. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Burch.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Bishop were held at 2 P.M. Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Jack Moore officiating.
