Margaret (Price) Carter

Margaret Price Carter, age 94, resident of Memphis, Tennessee and wife of the late Don Carter, departed this life Tuesday evening, November 21, 2023 at her home.

A Valentine's Baby, Margaret was born February 14, 1929 in Somerville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late John and Osceola Price. She was married June 7, 1947 to Don Carter, who preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage in 2002. She was employed in the insurance industry for much of her career. Margaret loved her family, especially her grandkids, going to the beach, and taking care of others.

Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Vikki Connelly; her sister, Charolette Johnson; four grandchildren, Corri Farmer (Brad), Brooke Fuller, Josh Fuller (Linley) and Chris Connelly; eight great-grandchildren who lovingly called her "GG", Brendon, Joshua Shea, Samantha, Jack, Ben, Eli, Sean and Piper; and her great-great-granddaughter, Vada.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carter were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Craig Marcus officiating. A Private Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery - East in Memphis, Tennessee.
