Margaret Sebren
August 17, 1920 — July 22, 2017
Margaret Louise Bowen Sebren, age 96, resident of Somerville and wife of the late Melvin Sebren, departed this life Saturday afternoon, July 22, 2017 at her residence.
Services and Interment for Mrs. Sebren will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Sebren was born August 17, 1920 in Russellville, Arkansas. She received her education in Hampton, Arkansas and was married July 18, 1948 to Melvin Sebren. She was of the Assembly of God faith and a homemaker throughout her life. Mrs. Sebren enjoyed cooking, traveling and special times with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Sebren is survived by her son, Don Sebren (Fran) of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Mildred Churchill of Camden, AR, Wanda Farmer of Florence, AZ; two brothers, Leonard Bowen of Bearden, AR, Bobby Bowen (Shirley) of Crossville, TN; two granddaughters, Beth Ross (Jimmy) of Gallaway, TN, Katie Weisbeck (Dave) of Charlotte, NC; four great-grandchildren, Tanner Sebren-Weisbeck, John Furr, Taylor Furr, Brandon Furr; and her great-great-grandson, Trenton Furr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Sebren who died in 1972; her parents, Jess Bowen and Pearle Tackett Bowen; her sister, Oakla Faye Burrus; and her brother, James Bowen.
