Lovingly known as "Miss Margie" she was the true definition of a "Southern Belle." Stylish, charming and gracious, she always had the consideration of others as her top priority. Her love of life came from her deep religious roots and her devotion to the Baptist Church.
She held the position of Vice-President during her over fifty year employment with Somerville Bank and Trust. Her knowledge of banking, her manners and the kindness that she showed everyone not only gained her the respect of her co-workers but also of her very valued customers.
Her Southern upbringing inspired her love of her home and farm, of antiques, beautiful flowers and her beloved dogs. It also inspired her interest and work in the preservation of the history and tradition of her community.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Mr. Edwin R. Sanders, Mr. Charles Levy, and Mr. Roy Richards. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her four sisters, Mrs. Clara Y. Terry, Mrs. Cornelia Y. Walls, Mrs. Louise Y. Montague and Miss Erma Yancey, all of Somerville.
Marjorie is survived by her loving son, Mr. James Sanders and his wife, Susan of Cordova. She is also survived by three nieces, Mrs. Joan Armstrong of Somerville, Mrs. Shirley Gail Vance of Paducah, KY, and Mrs. Barbara Walls of Somerville, and several great nieces and nephews, including Miss Sidney Ann Walls of Somerville.
