Mary Kathrine "Kathy" Adams, resident of the Warren Community in Fayette County and daughter of Charles A. Adams and the late Mildred Lee Autry Adams, died at 8:30 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2008, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was 49 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Funeral services for Miss Adams were conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 16th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating ministers were Dr. Leo Powers, retired minister of the Somerville Church of Christ and Bro. Chris Coil, current minister of the Somerville Church of Christ. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Hwy. 64 at Oakland. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home - West Chapel.
A native of Humboldt, Tennessee, Miss Adams was born April 11, 1958. She was educated in the Memphis public school system and was a former resident of Memphis before moving to Fayette County in 1977. A member of the Somerville Church of Christ, Miss Adams is survived by her father, Charles A. Adams and her step-mother, Emily Ann McNabb Adams of Somerville; her sister, Vickie Smith of Memphis; her brother, Danny Charles Adams of Arlington, TN.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Carl Trimm, Jim Byrd, Joseph McNabb, Tim Stanz, Ken Inman and Charlie Matheny.
Honorary casketbearers were George Adams, Al Helm and Vernon Tapp.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Somerville Church of Christ.
