Mary Catherine (Hughes) Doyle

Mary Catherine Hughes Doyle, age 91, resident of the Somerville Community and wife of the late Clem Henderson "Buck" Doyle, former Somerville Chief of Police, departed this life Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the National Healthcare Center in Somerville.

Services for Mrs. Doyle were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Doyle is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Doyle of Oakland, Sharon Perry (Allen) of Forrest City, AR, Terrice Enochs (Tom) of Cordova; her son, Ronnie Huggins of Middleton; three grandchildren, Jacob Crafton, Jason Spencer, Jamie Vistrand; two great grandchildren, Cooper Crafton, Keelan Spencer; and her special friends, Nan Green, Betty Hardin and Reed Barber.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, Mrs. Doyle was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur D. Hughes, Sr. and Verna Mae Hughes; her son, Eddie Wayne Doyle; her sister, Ethel Hughes Pennington Naquin; and two brothers, Arthur D. "Bud" Hughes, Jr. and John Paul "Duck" Hughes.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Phillip Doyle, Mark Doyle, John Silvis, Jimmy Umbarger, Glenn German, Jr. and John Robert Lynn, IV. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Proctor, Tom Whitaker, Aubrey Green and Ed Denniston.
