Mary Ann Bobbitt Guy, age 99, resident of Drummonds, Tennessee and former resident of the Rossville Community, departed this life Saturday afternoon, March 21, 2015 at her residence.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Guy will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, March 26th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Macon Cemetery in Macon, Tennessee. A visitation for Mrs. Guy will be from 1 to 2 P.M. Thursday, March 26th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Guy was born August 7, 1915 in Macon, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hickson Bobbitt and Bessie Wade Bobbitt. She was a former resident of Memphis and Rossville before moving to Drummonds to be near her family. She was married to James H. Guy, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Guy was employed at Speedway Drug Store in Memphis for a number of years before her retirement. She attended St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Memphis and enjoyed special times with her family.
Mrs. Guy is survived by two daughters, Peggy Lloyd (John) of Drummonds, Doris Wallace (Jimmy) of Des Arc, AR; her son, Farley Guy of Henderson; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jo Ann Perfetti.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers will be Brandon Byer, Chris Byer, Austin Lloyd, Dalton Young, Corey Hewlett and Richie Guy.
Honorary casketbearers will be Dale Lloyd, Ken Berryhill, Larry Perfetti and Mitch Perfetti.
