Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Hurst were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, October 11th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Phil Lovelace of Brownsville, former pastor of the Somerville First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Mrs. Hurst was born March 2, 1921 in Fayette County. She was the last of eight children of the late Horace Bell McNabb and Media Akin McNabb. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was a graduate of Fayette County High School. She was the wife of the late James Warren Hurst, Sr., retired self-employed truck operator, who preceded her in death on June 17, 1984.
