Mary Madelyn (Wade) Jones

November 21, 1951 — September 27, 2016

Mary Madelyn Wade Jones, age 64, resident of Moscow and wife of the late John Eddie Jones, departed this life Tuesday evening, September 27, 2016 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Jones were conducted at 3 P.M. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. John Ed Watkins, pastor of the Mercy Bridge Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Jones was born November 21, 1951 in Memphis. She moved with her family at an early age to Ohio and received her education in the Lorain County, Ohio Public School System. She was married to John Eddie Jones and lived in the Rossville and Moscow areas. She was employed as a nurse’s assistant before her retirement and was a member of the Mercy Bridge Baptist Church in Somerville. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains, gardening, canning, drinking coffee and special times with her family members and friends. Mrs. Jones had a special love and fondness for her pet dogs, Peanut and Sunny and her pet cats, Hutch and Buffy.

Mrs. Jones is survived by three sons, John Eddie Cox (Angela) of Waverly, TN, Terry Allen Jones (Rubie) of Somerville, TN, John Dewayne Jones of Somerville, TN; her sister, Peggy Sue Dingus (Bubba Dugan) of Rossville, TN; two brothers, Thomas Leo Wade, Jr. of Rossville, TN, Roger “Lonnie” Wade (Sue) of Ripley, MS; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Eddie Jones who died June 10, 2014; her parents, Thomas Leo Wade and Audrey Peggy Chambers Wade; and her son, Shane Sabree Jones.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Bobby Dingus, Danny DIngus, Ricky Moore, Johnny Murley, Justin Jones, Terry Jones, II and Justin Merowitz.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
