Mary Frances (Davis) Marlar

Mary Frances Marlar, age 75, resident of Memphis and wife of the late Sonny Marlar, departed Friday evening, August 24, 2018 at her residence.

Services and Interment for Mrs. Marlar were private.  Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Marlar was born July 10, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis Judson Davis and Ruby Jewell Hill Davis. She was a graduate of Treadwell High School Class of 1961 and was married October 16, 1961 to the former Cloftes Buford “Sonny” Marlar, Jr. who preceded her in death on May 7, 2017.  Mrs. Marlar was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Marlar is survived by four daughters, Tina Hendrick of Bartlett, TN, Karen Cassella of Collierville, TN, Angela Montgomery of Memphis, TN, Rachel Brown of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Virginia Wilson of Middleton, TN, Teenie Gandy of Bay St. Louis, MS; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
