Mavis Ann (Taylor) Kimbriel

Mavis Ann Taylor Kimbriel, age 78, resident of Memphis, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, August 17, 2018 at her residence.

A Funeral Service for Ms. Kimbriel was held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Ms. Kimbriel was born August 25, 1939 in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, George B. Taylor and Lavelle Bagwell Taylor. She was employed as a hospice caretaker for many years and was a Christian in faith. Ms. Kimbriel was a resident of the Memphis area and enjoyed outdoor activities that included gardening and working in her yard.

Ms. Kimbriel is survived by her daughter, Beverly Jean Kimbriel of Memphis, TN; two sons, Bill Kimbriel of Memphis, TN, David Andrew Kimbriel of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Martha Criddle of Woodland, MS, Diane Winters of Independence, MS; her brother, Jimmy Taylor of Horn Lake, MS; and six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Liberto.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Bill Kimbriel and David Andrew Kimbriel.
