Maxine Faith Slattery

Maxine Faith Levy Slattery, age 68, resident of Bartlett and wife of the late Robert McHugh, departed this life Sunday morning, December 13, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Slattery were conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Rev. Kent Bailey of Collierville officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Slattery was born May 2, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware. She was a graduate of P.S. Dupont High School in Wilmington and was the wife of Robert McHugh. She was of the Jewish faith and enjoyed playing Pinochle. Mrs. Slattery was an avid animal lover.

Mrs. Slattery is survived by two daughters, Lucinda Compton (Mark) of Grundy, Virginia, Ceil Conry (Michael) of Bartlett, Tennessee; her son, Paul Williams of Memphis, Tennessee; two sisters, Linda Jadick (Bob) of Delaware, Rhonda Levy (Donna) of Delaware; her brother, Marc Levy of Delaware; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McHugh and her parents, Aaron Levy and Miriam Rose Levy.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Michael Conry, Ethan Coke, Tyler Hooker, Brandon Williams and James Conry.
