Meta "Sue" Ellen (Dills) Ludwig

Meta Ellen “Sue” Ludwig, resident of the District 15 Community of Fayette County, retired healthcare provider and wife of the late Dale Ludwig departed this life Wednesday afternoon, May 1, 2013 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was 69 years of age and died unexpectedly of natural causes.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Ludwig were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 4th at the Liberty Baptist Church in the Laconia Community with Bro. Al Davis of the Landmark Baptist Church in Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Ludwig was born July 2, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Martha Dills. She completed her training and education as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Copperhill, Tennessee. She was a former resident of Florida and Georgia before moving to Fayette County in 1999. She was married February 14, 1995 to Dale Ludwig, who was employed as the meat market manager for the Save-A-Lot Food Store in Somerville, before his death on January 26, 2002.
She was employed in recent years at the Philips 66 Convenience Center in Somerville. Mrs. Ludwig enjoyed fishing, reading and her favorite television programs included wrestling and NASCAR racing. She received much pleasure in caring for her pet dogs.
Mrs. Ludwig is survived by her daughter, Tina “Tootie” Cruse (Keith) of Ellijay, GA; two sons, Sam Thrasher of Somerville, George Thrasher of Somerville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelia Annette Lee.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Keith Cruse, Ronnie Pittman, Jr., Eddie Taylor, Samuel Thrasher, Eric Cruse and Marshall Palmer.
