Micah Willis
1973—2010
Micah Ashley Willis, Memphis resident and former resident of the Moscow Community died Friday afternoon, December 31, 2010 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis where he had been a patient for a day. He was 37 years of age and died unexpectedly.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Willis were conducted at 10 A.M. Wednesday, January 5
th
at the United Methodist Church in Collierville with Rev. Earl David, minister of the church, officiating. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery at Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Willis was born July 5, 1973 in Sumter, South Carolina to Sherrin McClure Willis and Michael S. Willis, who survive. He was educated in the Tipton and Shelby County Public School Systems and was married June 22, 2002 to the former Gloria Worthy, employee for Idexx Laboratories in Memphis, who survives.
Mr. Willis was a self employed construction contractor for much of his life and was a member of the Collierville United Methodist Church. He was a lifelong resident of Fayette, Shelby and Tipton Counties and will be remembered for his love of animals. He was a people person who enjoyed soccer, music and special times with family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Willis is survived by his
sister, Jennifer Rowe (Mark) of Lexington, KY, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill McClure, Sr. of Moscow, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Retha Willis of Rossville and two nieces, Madilyn and Anna Rowe of Lexington, KY.

Rick Marchbanks, Jeremy McClure, Greg Patterson, Jason Ritchey, Nick Ritchey and Sean Ritchey.
