Michael Terrell Bullard

July 24, 1955 — May 12, 2013

Michael Terrell “Mike” Bullard, resident of the Hickory Withe Community and involved with the sewing machine industry for much of his life departed this life Sunday evening, May 12, 2013. He was 57 years of age and died unexpectedly.

Services of Remembrance for Mr. Bullard were conducted at 2 P.M. Friday, May 17th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Robert Alexander, Baptist Minister from Bruce, Mississippi officiating. Special music was provided by his brother-in-law, Steve Valcke. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Bullard was born July 24, 1955 in Bruce, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Bullard and Earline Houpt Bullard. He received his education in the Calhoun County, Mississippi Public School System and was a resident of the Bartlett area before moving to the Hickory Withe Community 20 years ago.

He was employed in the sewing machine industry for much of his life and will be remembered for his expertise in the repairing, installation and programming of industrial sewing machines and equipment. He was of the Christian faith and will be remembered for his love of fishing, bowling and music. He was an avid lover of animals and enjoyed supporting the activities of the young people in his family.

Mr. Bullard is survived by his wife, Frances Wyatt Bullard; his son, Christopher Bullard of Bruce, MS; three sisters, Jean Sharp of Calhoun City, MS, Ernestine Avant of Grenada, MS, Cynthia Valcke of Hawkinsville, GA; and four grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Matthew Wyatt, Joey McDaniel, Gene Mansour, Les Baxter, Wallace Avant and Robert Sharp.
