Michael Hudspeth Craig

Michael Hudspeth Craig, age 77, resident of Hickory Valley and husband of Romelle Aikens Craig, departed this life Friday morning, September 30, 2016 at his residence.
Private Graveside Services were held at the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mr. Craig was born October 7, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was married April 13, 1979 to the former Romelle Aikens and served his country in the United States Coast Guard as a young person. He was a former resident of Memphis before moving to Hickory Valley 15-1/2 years ago and was employed as a process server at the Shelby County Juvenile Court before his retirement. Mr. Craig was a member of the Hickory Valley Baptist Church and had a love for sports.
Mr. Craig is survived by his wife of 37 years, Romelle Aikens Craig of Hickory Valley, TN; his daughter, Daphne Hughes (Stan) of Hickory Valley, TN; and three grandsons, Richard Hughes of Los Angeles, CA, George Hughes of Auburn, AL and Michael Hughes (Savannah) of Memphis, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Craig and Katherine Hudspeth Craig.
