Michael Anthony "Mike" Houston

Michael Anthony “Mike” Houston, age 49, resident of Somerville, died Tuesday evening, August 15, 2017 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Memorial Services for Mr. Houston were conducted at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 18, 2017 at the Fisherville First Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Moore, pastor of the church, officiating. He was assisted by Bro. Kenneth Stovall and music was led by Bart Starr, music director at Fisherville First Baptist Church. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mr. Houston was born July 9, 1968 in Rossville, Tennessee. He attended Rossville Christian Academy, Fayette Ware High School and Collierville High School and was a resident of Collierville for 10 years and a resident of Fayette County for much of his life. Mr. Houston was the owner and was as a roofer at Collierville Roofing and was of the Baptist faith. He loved drawing, music and playing the guitar and piano.

Mr. Houston is survived by his daughter, Harley Nicole Houston of Memphis, TN; his son, Christian Michael Houston of Moscow, TN; his mother, Jane Hopper of Somerville, TN; his father, Bailey Houston (Sondra) of Macon, TN; his sister, Diana Wilson of Olive Branch, MS; and his niece, Caitlyn Wilson of Olive Branch, MS.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home , 6896 U.S. Highway 70, Bartlett, TN 38135.
