Michael "Mike" Shayne Hawkins

Michael Shayne “Mike” Hawkins, age 55, resident of Somerville, departed this life Thursday evening, January 28, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.
Graveside Services of Remembrance for Mr. Hawkins were conducted at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 31, 2016 with Rev. David Hawkins officiating. Interment followed in the Somerville City Cemetery. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mr. Hawkins was born October 21, 1960 in Somerville. He was a graduate of Fayette Ware High School Class of 1978 and was a lifelong resident of Fayette County. He attended the Somerville First Baptist Church in earlier years and enjoyed riding motorcycles and listening to music.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his father, Bill Hawkins of Somerville; two brothers, Greg Hawkins (Suzanne) of Memphis, David Hawkins (Veronica) of Morristown, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Juanita Feathers Hawkins.
