Michele Marie (Romano) Wood

Michele Marie Romano Wood, age 69, resident of Oakland, Tennessee and wife of Stephen “Steve” Wood, departed this life Saturday afternoon, September 29, 2018 at her residence.

Michele was born November 23, 1948 in Monmouth, Illinois, the daughter of the late Michael James Romano and Agnes Maienza Romano. She was a graduate of Monmouth High School Class of 1966 and was married August 5, 1967 to Stephen “Steve” Wood. She was employed as the office manager for Chamberwood Realty Group in Collierville, Tennessee and was of the Catholic faith. Mrs. Wood enjoyed sewing and will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband of 51 years, Stephen “Steve” Wood of Oakland, TN; her daughter, Anne Marie Chambers of Collierville, TN; her son, Matt Wood of Arlington, TN; her sister, Antoniette Romano of Spring, TX; her brother, Frank Romano of Spring, TX; four grandchildren, Allison Wood, Lindsay Wolfe, Hunter Chambers, Heather Brewi; and two great-grandchildren, Eden Wolfe and River Brewi.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the charity of the donor's choice in lieu of flowers.
