Michelle (McMillen) Harper

Michelle McMillen Harper, age 49, resident of the Arlington Community and Evolve Bank & Trust employee died at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett. Services for Ms. Harper will be at 2 Friday afternoon at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will be private and the family will receive friends from 1 until 2 Friday afternoon at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland.

Ms. Harper was born October 4, 1962 in Memphis, the daughter of Wayne McMillen and Clara Hall McMillen. She received her education in the Shelby County Public School System and was a graduate of the Bartlett High School. Ms. Harper was employed by the Evolve Bank & Trust Company in Cordova at the time of her death and had been associated as an underwriter with the mortgage banking business in Shelby County for 30 years.

She had been a resident of the Arlington Community for the past 15 years and her interests included traveling, shopping and interior decorating. She received much pleasure in caring for her pet canine, Sophie.

Ms. Harper is survived by her daughter, Chelsea Harper of Arlington; her son, Hunter Harper of Arlington; her parents, Wayne and Clara McMillen of Bartlett; her sister, Tonya Crisp of Mason, TN; two nieces, Ashley Egan of Bartlett, Kayla Owen of Mason, TN; and the father of her children, Michael Harper of Arlington.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Methodist University Transplant Institute, 1265 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104.
