Michelle Henley, age 67, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at her home.
Michelle was born June 25, 1956 in Fayette County to Robert Burwell Alexander and Elizabeth Alexander. She enjoyed working in the garden, watching westerns, fishing, working on word puzzles, reading books and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Barnes (Larry) of Hickory Valley, TN and Shelia Thompson (Eugene) of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Sarah Thompson and Betty Scarbrough; four grandchildren, Riley, Madison, Allie and Hailie; and her great-granddaughter, M.J.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Evans; her sister, Charlese Grandberry; her brother, Robert Alexander; and her grandson, T.J.
Funeral Services for Ms. Henley were held at 2 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. David Reeves, pastor of Midway Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee, officiating. Interment followed in the Harmony Cemetery near Stanton, Tennessee.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Nick Thompson, Charles Thompson, Sammy Simpson, Justin Varner, Eugene Thompson and Brent Lavender.
