MICHAEL STEPHEN "ANGELO" LENTI, a resident of the Williston Community and retired Construction Contractor died of natural causes at his residence and was discovered Monday, August 3, 2009. He was 59 years of age and died following a one-year illness.
Funeral services for Mr. Lenti were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 6th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Deacon Mike Blome of St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Elvis Presley Boulevard in Memphis. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes-West Chapel of Oakland.
Mr. Lenti was born June 14, 1950 in Memphis, the son of the late Stephen Angelo Lenti and the late Pearl Marini Lenti.
He was educated at the St. Louis Parochial School and was a graduate of the Oakhaven High School in Memphis.
He was involved in construction throughout much of his life and had been a resident of Fayette County for the past twenty years.
He was a Catholic and was well known as a motorcycle enthusiast who also enjoyed farming and growing vegetables.
Survivors of Mr. Lenti include his daughter, Gina Maria Lenti of Olive Branch, MS; his sister, Angelina Williams of Lakeland and one granddaughter, Bailey Alexandra Lenti McCaslin.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Cope Williams, Matthew Williams, Tony Micheletti, Mark Lenti, Joe Micheletti and Brandon Westrich.
