Mike "Grumpey" Tutor

Mike "Grumpey" Tutor, age 62, resident of Horn Lake, Mississippi and retired truck operator for Dart Trucking, departed this life Thursday morning, August 14, 2014 at the Baptist DeSoto Hospital in Southaven, Mississippi.

Services for Mr. Tutor will be at 3 Monday afternoon at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with visitation one hour before services. Interment will be private. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mr. Tutor was born April 24, 1952 in Memphis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvis Lloyd Tutor and Kathryn Waudeane Dalton Tutor. He received his education in the Memphis City Public School System and was employed with Dart Trucking for a number of years before his retirement. He was a resident of Horn Lake, Mississippi for nine years and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed working on automobiles, helping people, NASCAR racing and had a special love for his dog, "Dakota".

Mr. Tutor is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Perez (Jesus) of Memphis, Amanda Tutor of Beaverton, OR; his sister, Donna Marie Daughtry (Mike) of Bradenton, FL; and three brothers, Glenn Tutor (Bonnie) of Cape Girardeau, MO, Bobby Tutor (Joyce) of Charleston, AR and Jan Vaughn of Memphis.
