Nathan Wade Brawley

Nathan Wade Brawley, age 55, resident of Oakland and husband of Hattie Davidson Brawley, departed this life early Sunday morning, December 2, 2018 at his residence.

A Funeral Service with Military Honors for Mr. Brawley was held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Victory Life Church in Somerville. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Nathan was born October 12, 1963 in Wynne, Arkansas. He was a graduate of the Wynne, Arkansas School System and served his country in the United States National Guard as a young person. He was married July 13, 1996 to the former Hattie Davidson and was employed as a home contractor for over 30 years, retiring from Alpha Remodeling after ten years. Nathan was a member of Victory Life Church in Somerville and enjoyed outdoor activities that included fishing and hunting.

Mr. Brawley is survived by his wife of 22 years, Hattie Davidson Brawley of Oakland, TN; two sons, Kenneth Brawley (Mariah) of Bolivar, TN, Cody Brawley of Bolivar, TN; two stepchildren, Lee Doyle (Tabatha) of Somerville, TN, Patricia Smith of Somerville, TN; four sisters, Betty Brawley, Barbara Barber, Lori Brawley, Nikki Brawley; his brother, Larry Brawley; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Joe Brawley and Betty Westerman Brawley; two sisters, Sandra Orr, Myra Valdivia; and three brothers, Johnny Brawley, Robert Brawley and Frank Brawley.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Kenneth Brawley, Cody Brawley, Larry Brawley, Garrett Smith, Alex Smith, Nathan Smith, Marty Hale and Tom Wade.
