Nathan Wayne Sides, resident of the Moscow Community and former Residential and Commercial Roofer died Sunday evening November 21, 2010 at his residence on Old State Line Road. He was 37 years of age and died following an illness of several months.
Services of Remembrance for Mr. Sides were conducted at 1 P.M. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel at Somerville. The officiating ministers were Bro. Basil Adams, Bro. Lynn Eagan and Bro. Tony Watkins. Interment followed in the Friendship Cemetery on Highway 57 near Moscow. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes — Main Chapel of Somerville.
A native of Fayette County, Mr. Sides was born on April 5, 1973 the son of Glenn Sides and the former Mildred Lax. He received his education in the Fayette County Public School System and was associated with the roofing industry for much of his life, operating his business, Affordable Roofing, before retiring for health reasons. Mr. Sides was a person with many interests that included fishing, rafting, horseback riding, nature and outdoor activities. He was blessed with a God given talent as an artist and will be remembered for his Christian faith in good times and difficult times.
He is survived by his parents, Glenn Sides (Charlotte) of Moscow and Mildred Webb (Joe) of Bolivar; his sisters, Dana Jones (Chris) of Bolivar, Connie Webb of West Palm Beach, Florida; his brothers, Eddie Louett of Salt Lake City, Utah, Jonathan Hayes of Austin, Texas; and his grandmothers, Helen Lax of Collierville and Bobby Ruth McCaskill of Moscow.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Sherman Adair, Randy Sides, Robert Sides, Rodney Sides, Chris Starrette, Danny Ray Starrette, Gary Taylor and Jason Taylor.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Friendship Cemetery Association of Moscow, Serenity House of Memphis or Wings Foundation at West Clinic in Memphis.
