Nellie Ethel (Morse) Hamilton

Nellie Ethel Morse Hamilton, age 92, resident of the Somerville Community, native of Williamsburg, Kentucky and wife of the late Orie Hamilton, departed this life Wednesday morning, October 15, 2014 at the Covington Care Center in Covington, Tennessee.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Hamilton were conducted at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 18th at the Pentecostal Church of God in Pathfork, Kentucky with Rev. Everett Eads officiating. Interment followed in the Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Hamilton was born May 25, 1922 in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Asher Morse and Maggie Lundy Morse. She moved with her family at a very early age to Alva, Kentucky, where her father worked in the coal mines. She was married in December 1939 to Orie Hamilton, who preceded her in death.

In 2007, Mrs. Hamilton moved to the Memphis area and resided with her daughter and son-in-law until her health required around the clock care, and she was moved to the Covington Care Center.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by three daughters, Marie Walker (Jerry) of Somerville, Wavelene Brashear (William) of Viper, KY, Kathleen Campbell of Lexington, KY; her son, Lowell Hamilton (Sara) of Leesburg, AL; eleven grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Flossie, Flora, Bertha, Dorothy, Pearl; and two brothers, Luther Morse and Joseph Morse.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor's choice.
