Nellie Sue (Marbry) Glover

Nellie Sue Marbry Glover, age 70, resident of Somerville and wife of William “Billy” Glover, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, August 29, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Glover were conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. Kevin Treadway of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Perry Cemetery at Laconia. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – Main Chapel of Somerville.

Mrs. Glover was born March 12, 1948 in Tipton County, Tennessee. She received her education in Tipton County and was married March 18, 1972 to William Ray “Billy” Glover. She was a homemaker throughout her life and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Glover enjoyed watching movies with her grandchildren, shopping, making jewelry and floral arrangements.

Mrs. Glover is survived by her husband of 46 years, Billy Glover of Somerville, TN; her daughter, Rhonda Sue Glover Rose (Richard) of Crump, TN; her son, Christopher Ray Glover (Monica) of Somerville, TN; two sisters, Ann Ferrell of Covington, TN, Ruth Marbry of Covington, TN; and six grandchildren, Derrick, Dustin, Jonathan, Elliott, Eliot and Sam.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elmer Marbry and Nellie Mae Short Marbry and six brothers, Thomas Marbry, Lee Marbry, Roy Marbry, Billy Marbry, Edward Marbry and Clarence Marbry.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Lynn McClure, Richard Glover, Robert Glover, Jason Marbry, DeWayne Marbry and Johnny Perrigo. Honorary pallbearers were Randy Marbry, Michael Glover, Donald Perrigo, Jerry Perrigo, Franklin  (Brother) Perrigo, Jerrel Marbry, Mickey Joyner and Ronnie Pittman.
