Nicholas "Nick" Scott Reid

Nicholas Scott “Nick” Reid, age 30, resident of Rossville, departed this life Sunday, December 18, 2016.

A Celebration of Life Service for Nick was held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Dr. Chuck Herring, pastor of the Collierville First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Reid Cemetery in the Fisherville Community. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center – West Chapel at Oakland.

Nick was born June 17, 1986 in Memphis. He was a graduate of Bolton High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed preparing food and trying new recipes. Nick loved the outdoors and his family states he wanted to “live off the grid”. He enjoyed special times with his family, friends and dog, Joey, and he was a fan of the Tennessee Titans and Memphis Grizzlies.

Nick is survived by his father, Paul Reid (Kecia Reid) of Rossville, TN; his brother, Christopher David Shores (Molly) of Oakland, TN; grandparents, Wayne and Lillian Byrd of Rossville, TN, Rachel Jarrett of Ecru, MS, Wanda Cooper of Cordova, TN; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Jean Jarrett Reid.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Andrew McKnight, Matt Stewart, Zach Stewart, Kody Lovell, Ben Wojak, Chris Stevenson and Wyatt Reynolds.
