Norma Jean Wright Bobbitt, resident of the Dancyville Community area in Fayette County and wife of the late James “Bubba” Bobbitt, Jr., departed this life Tuesday afternoon, January 7, 2014 at her residence. She was 49 years of age and died unexpectedly.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Bobbitt were conducted at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 14th at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Bro. John Ed Watkins of Somerville officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasants Cemetery near Rossville. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Bobbitt was born May 22, 1964 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her parents, George “Junior” Wright, Jr. and Martha Jo Weaver Wright. She received her education in the Fayette County Public School System and was the wife of James “Bubba” Bobbitt, Jr., who preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of West Tennessee and attended the Midway Baptist Church near Whiteville. Mrs. Bobbitt enjoyed gardening, nature and flowers and enjoyed photographing nature and outdoor scenes.
Mrs. Bobbitt is survived by her daughter, Crystal Bobbitt of Adamsville, TN; her sister, Patricia Webb of Memphis; her brother, Jerry Lynn Wright of Memphis; four grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Christopher Johnson, James Johnson, Annigail Johnson; and her companion, Nolan Autin of Dancyville.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers were Dewayne Johnson, Scotty Weaver, Earl Sides, Bobby Weaver, Charles Raymen Kee and Mike Perry.
Honorary casketbearers were Christopher Johnson and Hunter Johnson.
