Norman Wesley Patton passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024. Norman was born August 11, 1940, in Memphis, Tennessee, to James and Wanda Patton.
Norman married Carolyn Grooms on November 1, 1963, and they enjoyed 60 wonderful years together. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Norman loved antique cars, reading military thrillers, and watching old westerns. Whether it was remodeling a home or restoring an antique tractor, he never hesitated to help his sons or grandchildren with any project they could imagine and always encouraged them to achieve their goals.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, James and Wanda Patton. He is survived by his wife Carol, two sons, Greg (Lisa) and Todd, 4 grandchildren, Wes (Stephanie), April (Zach), Matthew, and Kasey, and 3 great-grandsons, Logan, Wyatt, and Atlas. He is also survived by his sister, Pat (Jimmy) and brother, Daniel.
Funeral Services for Mr. Patton were held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Michael Bond, pastor of Beech Bluff Pentecostal Church, officiating. Interment with Military Honors followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
