Pamela Elaine (Perrell) Ernest

Pamela Elaine Ernest, resident of the Oakland Community and wife of Rick Ernest, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, September 17, 2014 at the St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett where she had been a patient for one day. She was 66 years of age and died following an illness of one month.

Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Ernest were conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 25th at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Jason Moore, pastor of the Oakland First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.

Mrs. Ernest was born July 30, 1948 in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Perrell and Yvonne Gerbrick Perrell. She was married May 11, 2000 to Richard Allen Ernest, who survives. She was employed for four years as a front end clerk for Kroger in Oakland at the time of her death. She was a resident of the Oakland Community for nine years and was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Memphis. Mrs. Ernest enjoyed singing, animals and decorating.

In addition to her husband of 14 years, Mrs. Ernest is survived by her daughter, Lisa Underwood of Las Vegas, NV; three sons, Tim Underwood of Pennsylvania, John Ernest of Memphis, Ben Ernest (Michelle) of Memphis; and one grandchild.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the Fayette County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Taylor, 16845 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville, TN 38068.
