PATRICIA ANN BARKLEY-MOORE, resident of the Hickory Withe Community, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday morning, August 9, 2011 at the Methodist Hospital in Somerville where she died suddenly. She was 57 years of age and died unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep.
A visitation for local area family and friends was from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening, August 12

at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Moore were conducted at 3 PM Saturday, August 13
th
at New Salem Baptist Church in Rising Fawn, GA. Interment
followed in the Hawkins Cemetery in Rising Fawn. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Moore was born May 19, 1954 in Chattanooga, TN. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Quinn and the late Neomi Massey Quinn. She was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System. She possessed a vivacious, loving, generous spirit, who deeply cared for her family and friends. Mrs. Moore loved traveling, shopping, cooking, quality time with family and friends and enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home. Pat relocated to the Memphis area in the mid-Nineteen Seventies, and served for many years in Government Agencies, including Social Security/SSI Offices, Internal Revenue Service, and recently retired from serving as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Norman “Bud” Moore of Hickory Withe. She also leaves her daughter, Cindy (Brent) Kinard of Moscow;
her step-son, Jon (Kelley) Moore; her sister, Donna Young of Chattanooga; her three brothers, Ray Barkley, Charles Barkley and Earl Barkley, all of Chattanooga; and four grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the church, charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
