Patricia “Pat” Neal Gilliam, died September 9, 2010 at the Methodist Fayette Hospital in Somerville where she had been a patient for 7 days. She was 71 years of age and died following a brief illness.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gilliam were conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, September 11th at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ann Bledsoe of the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Somerville, officiating. Interment followed in the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hollywood, Alabama. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes—Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. Gilliam was born December 15, 1938 the daughter of the late Alfonso Neal and the late Lorraine Law Neal. She had been employed as a Caregiver for the North Jackson Hospital in Bridgeport, Alabama for many years.
She is survived by her brother, Darrell S. Neal of Chino, California.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers were Kenneth Richard Benson, Carl “Dodie” Brown, Garland Greer, Johnny Kennon, Ricky Proctor and T.J. Yager.
