Patricia “Pat” Ann Myers McGuire, resident of the Grand Junction Community and wife of Patrick D. McGuire died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville where she had been a patient for three weeks. She was 65 years of age and died following an extended illness.
Services of Remembrance for Mrs. McGuire will be conducted at 2 P.M. Thursday, December 22nd at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville with Dr. Virginia Jones Finzel of Grand Junction United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery on Highway 57 near Moscow. Arrangements are provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes and Cremation Center — Main Chapel of Somerville.
Mrs. McGuire was born September 25, 1946 in Long Beach, California. She was preceded in death by her parents Roscoe Raymond Myers, II and Viva Ruth Fraysure Myers. She received her education in various locations of the United States during her father’s military service. She was a former resident of Memphis and had been a resident of the Grand Junction community for 13 years. She was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. McGuire was married February 25, 1996 to Patrick McGuire, an engineer for AmeriPride Corporation, who survives. Her interests included reading, exercising and helping others in their time of need. She enjoyed serving as a volunteer for the Grand Junction Public Library.
I n addition to her husband, Mrs. McGuire is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Richards of Grand Junction; two sisters, Sandra Pearl Lumpkin of Grand Junction, Pamela Maria Myers of Grand Junction; her brother, Roscoe Raymond Myers, III of Bartlett; her granddaughter, Sandy Kay Loper; and two great grandchildren, Aslyn Ann Loper and Thomas Dale Loper.
Those honored to serve as casketbearers are family members and friends.
