Patricia (Bobbitt) Patterson

Patricia Bobbitt Patterson, age 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday evening, November 4, 2023. Pat grew up in Memphis and graduated in the first full four year class of East Memphis High School. She was very active in many local clubs during high school and was the president of Tau Delta Sigma Sorority. She received an Associate Degree from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri, and completed her education at Memphis State, now the University of Memphis. At Memphis State she was the president of the Phi Mu Sorority, was an Angel Flight Member, and was also a member of the Mortarboard.

Pat married Wiley Lunn Patterson on August 26, 1965 and they were married for 58 years. They have a son, Bradley Thomas Patterson, a precious daughter-in-law, Talana Jean Littlefield Patterson, and grandson, Thomas Aves Patterson, who was the apple of her eye. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Kathryn Bobbitt.

She held several positions of employment outside the home including as a Home Economist for MLG&W, and Early Childhood Director for Central Church. For 30 years she was a well-known wardrobe consultant and owner of Creative Clothing.

She and her husband, Wiley, were members of Bellevue Baptist Church and were involved in many ministries such as Financial Counseling, Bellevue's Prayer Ministry, the Discipleship Ministry, as well as participating in numerous mission trips. Pat also served on the Church Hostess Committee. Her love and abilities in hospitality were often used in her home as well as at church. She loved honoring others with special tea parties and etiquette parties for children. Her interests were traveling and helping others with her wardrobe consulting. She was also an active Memphis Area Master Gardener. She was a true servant at heart.

Pat, along with her husband, Wiley, have arranged for their bodies to go to the Genesis Program for research.
